How to get to the Century City Hotel Urban Square

Directions from Cape Town CBD and the V&A Waterfront

1. Take the Table Bay Boulevard/N1 freeway heading east
2. Continue on Table Bay Boulevard/N1 until Sable Road/Exit 10
3. At the traffic lights at the top of the exit, turn left into Sable Road
4. Continue on Sable Road until it turns right and becomes Ratanga Road
5. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Century Boulevard
6. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Bridgeway
7. Continue straight to the next roundabout and take the first exit
8. Turn right into Energy Lane, and you’ll find the Urban Square Hotel on your right, directly opposite the Century City Conference Centre.

Directions from Cape Town International Airport

1. From the Airport Approach Road, take the Settlers Way/N2 to Cape Town
2. Continue on the Settlers Way/N2 freeway for 16,9 kilometres
3. Take Exit 9 to merge onto the M5 towards N1/Milnerton
4. Take the exit onto Table Bay Boulevard/N1
5. Continue on Table Bay Boulevard/N1 until Sable Road/Exit 10
6. At the traffic lights at the top of the exit, turn left into Sable Road
7. Continue on Sable Road until it turns right and becomes Ratanga Road
8. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Century Boulevard
9. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Bridgeway
10. Continue straight to the next roundabout and take the first exit
11. Turn right into Energy Lane, and you’ll find the Urban Square Hotel on your right, directly opposite the Century City Conference Centre.

Plenty of safe parking in the Urban Square P2 basement

If you are travelling to Century City Hotel Urban Square in your own vehicle or a hired car, you don’t have to worry about where to park. You will find plenty of available bays in the Urban Square’s P2 basement parking. This safe underground parking area provides direct access to the Urban Square itself via a lift to the foyer of the Conference Centre or via a staircase that pops up in the Square just metres from the hotel entrance.

To reach the entrance to this parking area, follow the direction above from either the CBD or the Cape Town International Airport, but when you reach the second traffic circle, instead of turning left, take the second exit, turn left at the next traffic circle, and follow the signs to the P2 parking area.

To get to Century City Hotel Urban Square without a private motor vehicle, we would recommend travelling by Uber or metered taxis. Both services will offer reliable, safe and relatively affordable fares from the CBD, the V&A Waterfront and the Cape Town International Airport.

How to Get Around Century City

Once you have settled in at the Urban Square Hotel, you will find it easy to reach the many attractions of Century City. Most are easily reached on foot — especially, of course, the Century City Conference Centre, the entrance to which is literally just a few metres away.

Walking around Century City is safe, easy, well sign-posted, and will reward you with great views and interesting artworks of the Century City Art Trail. To orientate yourself, please look at the Urban Square Hotel map below.

There is another way to get around Century City quickly, reliably and affordably: the City of Cape Town’s MyCiTi bus service runs along the precinct’s major ring road, the Century City Boulevard, and there is a MyCiTi Bus stop within close proximity of the Urban Square Hotel.

Of course, the options start with the Square Cafe and Wine Bar, on the ground floor of the Urban Square Hotel. And our sister hotel, Century City Hotel Bridgewater, just 200 metres away, is home to Gusto, an urban Italian restaurant and a wonderful view of Ratanga Park.

In between, spilling out into the vibrant Urban Square, you can choose from La Parada, Tiger’s Milk and Seattle Coffee Company, or cross the road in the other direction to get to Akiya Sushi in the Axis Building.
