MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Front Office Supervisor primarily supervises the Front Office team to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the department, with the aim of creating memorable experiences for all guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Checking in and checking out of guests
Verify that the accurate rooms status information is maintained and properly communicated
Resolve guest complaints / requests swiftly and professionally
Supervise the team to ensure that the relevant SOP’s are followed
Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking guests preferences and special requests
Cross check all billing instructions are correctly updated
Maintain an organized and comprehensive filing system
Train team members on relevant SOP’s
Maintain working relationships to ensure effective cross-departmental communication
Review daily Front Office work reports generated by Night Audit
Assist with gifting when so required
Motivate team members to deliver excellent guest service
REQUIREMENTS:
Min Grade 12
Diploma in Hospitality advantageous
Min 1 – 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Proficient in MS office and OPERA
Excellent communication skills
Exceptional inter-personal skills
