MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the Front Desk is manned at night, performing the full function of a Receptionist. Furthermore, to ensure that all daily room and outstanding charges are posted accordingly.

 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Check-in and check-out of guests
Inform guests on hotel(s) facilities
Maintain guest accounts and processing of guest transactions during their stay
Deal with any and all special needs or requests
Check Front Office accounting records and compile information for the Hotel’s financial records
Maintain a safe, clean and presentable reception area at all times
Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
Report on any complaints, emergencies, maintenance, security needs and a summary of action taken in a complete and accurate handover
Ensure that all restaurant and banqueting areas are properly secured after close of business
Ensure wakeup call requests are recorded and executed
Absorb the switchboard function
Ensure all daily room and outstanding charges are posted
Ensure all revenue and credits are balanced
Guest needs and requirements are anticipated and acted upon
Perform general administration duties as and when required

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Hospitality Management Qualification
Minimum 1-2 years in a night auditor/similar role
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
Attention to detail
Night work is required
