MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Responds to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by all channels including mail, telephone, fax, online channel or through a central reservation system. Creates and maintains reservation records-usually by date of arrival and alphabetical listing. Prepares letters of confirmation and invoices and promptly processes any cancellations and modifications.
Tracks future room availability on the basis of reservations, and helps develop forecasts for room revenue and occupancy. Manages the room stock and availability on the property management system. Preparing the list of expected arrivals for the front office and ensuring thorough handover and communication of all bookings during the pre-arrival stage. Processing advance reservation deposits. Managing and co-ordinating the pre-arrival stage of group reservations. Increases the revenue of the hotel through rate and occupancy.
Knows the type of rooms the hotel has as well as their location and layout. Knows of all hotel packages plans-meaning status, rates, and benefits.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Hotel school qualification required
- Previous hotel-related experience desired.
- Experience in Opera PMS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
